Lance originally started out skating for Variflex but found his way to Powell Peralta in 1982 where he became a member of the legendary Bones Brigade. Alongside Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen, Tommy Guerrero, and Mike McGill, Lance defined what skateboarding was and what it could be. Lance's style was goofy but sincere, it was both approachable and relatable. After Powell came to an end, he
