Waldeck, Principality. A Silver Medal Of Merit With Swords, C.1914 Archive metal swing bar pinback(Silberne Verdienstmedaille mit Schwertern). Instituted on 26 September 1878 by Prince George Victor. A round medal constructed of silver, the obverse shows the monogram GV (Georg Viktor) in Fraktur style under a ducal crown, the reverse centre presents the inscription FR VERDIENST, crossed silver swords, measuring 31. 43 mm, hang between the medallion and eyelet, silver hallmark of a star stamped on top outer edge, the medal measures 30. 39 mm in
