Germany, Wehrnacht. A Krim Shield, by Wilhelm Deumer consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne(Heer Krimschild). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, the reverse retaining all four attachment prongs which connect to an original zink backplate, also featuring a post manufacture green wool liner indicating Heer issue, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of
