I believe this was originally a green label but the label has been removed, however the serial number indeed dates the pedal to August of 1987 and being made in Japan. Please take note,. A stock vintage Boss CE 3 (Like this 1987 model,..) requires a 12 volt ACA adapter if you are plugging into the AC power jack, though it runs just fine on a 9 volt battery
