the large white enamel obverse inscribed PREMEO DEL ESTADO DE YUCATAN 1902 (Prize of the Yucatan State 1902)

the upper tip of the badge with partial gilt loss exposing the bronze base

On one occasion he started out with two other runners both of whom became casualties

one on each breast which have decorative straps giving them a pleated-look with small brown plastic buttons

The hanger, in dark brown and black textured material, brass cooks on each end with patterned buckle, attached to original three stepped hanger, each strap measures 385 mm (l), light fraying throughout, wear to brass, clips functional, better than very fine condition.
