Morocco, Spanish Protectorate. An Order Of Mehdauia, Officer's Badge, C.1955 Newly Listed late-War triangular version (Model 1944)Orden de la Mehdauia, Wissam al Mahdawiya. Instituted in 1926. Of local manufacture, in silvered bronze with light blue, dark blue and yellow enamels, measuring 42. 5 mm (w) x 54 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, chipping evident in the enamels on the centrepiece, original ribbon, on a traditional Spanish style horizontal hanger with pinback, very fine.
