Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Silver Grade Auction the obverse of which is(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37. 89 mm (w) x 42. 81 mm (h), weighing 7. 3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
