Bad Brains were the first hardcore band ever, beginning in the late 70s self releasing their debut single Pay To Cum in 1980. They revolutionized hardcore and music, they were an all Black band who blended reggae and hardcore and punk, and played, performed, and wrote songs better than any other band to ever play aggressive music. Rise
