Germany, Heer. An Army Ration Sack, C. 1944 Auction along with Crompton(Heeresverpflegungssack). 1944 Issue. A large rectangular ration sack constructed of cream burlap. The obverse of the sack bears a black national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons with two black stripes running vertically down the sack on the left and right. The reverse of the sack is stamped H. Verpft. 1944 (Heeresverpflegungssack 1944 Army Ration Sack 1944) with two black stripes running vertically down the
