Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1869 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded alloy with enamels, on loop for suspension from a period mis matched tri fold ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms trimmed with raised borders, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a circular blue enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of GOTT MIS UNS (GOD WITH US) with arabesques,
