Contact marks, bruised, edge nicks, fine. Footnote: Evans is confirmed for service with the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards having participated in the 1898 expedition to khartoum. Evans also saw service in the 1899 South African Campaign with the 38th Company of the Grenadier Guards.
