Germany, Third Reich. A Fire Brigade Long Service Decoration, II Class with Case United Republic of 3 mm (w) x 54(Reichsfeuerwehr Ehrenzeichen, II. Klasse mit Etui). Instituted 22 June 1936 by Wilhelm Frick. (1936 1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Geneva Cross, with its arms joined through the quadrants by a circular ring bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENSTE IM FEUERLSCHWESEN (FOR MERIT IN FIRE FIGHTING), the obverse with white enameled arms overlaid
