Beyond Burnt Mirror - Black & White P08925-P00050 Part of the artist's "Pup"This unusual mirror frame is created by careful selection of short, end grain ash glued together. The surfaces are thoroughly burned with a torch, removing the cellulose and exaggerating the grain; a wire brushing enhances the effect. A colored wax further highlights the surface. The inherent inexactness of flame on wood creates a rich, variable surface of complex color, texture and form. Available in bold black and white or more subtle tan and black.
